5 months old

Oh how time flies! Well he is technically 5 months and 2 days, but you get the point. He is looking so mature for his age. The other day at church there was a 6 month old in the cry room with us and he had the shortest legs, chubbiest cheeks, and bald head. He made B look old for his age. It kind of made me sad. I don't want my 7 lb 14 oz brand new baby to get too big too fast.

Getting ready to start another solid, probably sweet potatoes. I was going to start last week, but forgot to pick one up at the grocery store. Yes, I plan on making my own baby food. I don't know how long it will last, but the idea of having fresh organic baby food free of perservatives is quite appealing to me.
I was looking at his older pictures (since I am starting his 1 year old montage, those things can take awhile) and he looked so small in his car seat, now his feet are practically hanging out! He is still having trouble rolling from his belly to his back and he will let you know when it's time to flip him over. Funny (not) that he just goes right back to his belly. It is a never ending game (to him).

I am just about done breastfeeding. I mostly do it for naps and before bed. I don't know if it is more for me or him. It really does calm/ soothes him and heaven forbid I deny him of that ;-). I just love him snuggling up against me, although I can do without the ripping away when he gets distracted.

So we are putting the house up for sale...any takers? If it doesn't sell we will just continue with our refiancing. We aren't in a big hurry to sell, but it would be nice to move on and not have to constantly have our house "show ready", it really isn't that easy to do with a baby. We will probably end up staying in the same area because it is between the two families. I would love to live near my family and Mike would love to live with his family. So I guess this is the compromise. You would think house hunting would be fun, and my friends are so excited for me because they love looking for houses, but with Mike and I, it could end in blood shed. No seriously, the problem is Mike wants a new house and I don't want to travel that far for work. Well, I work in Denver and the new subdivisions are on the outskirts. Plus, now that we know what we want for our second home, compromises don't come that easy. A few things we do agree on, a 4th bedroom or study and a basement. Like I said, good thing we aren't in a huge hurry.
