Today was a day of firsts. Today B sat in the front of the grocery cart with his floppy (a cover over the seat that prevents kids from sucking on the handle of the grocery cart). It was like a new world to him. He could see everything around him. It made my job of getting groceries easier because he wasn't fussing to get out of the car seat. Also, B went to the pool for the first time and loved it! I thought he would hate the cold water, but it wasn't bad. He watched all the kids play and was fascinated that he could see his hands (and dad) underwater. He laughed and kicked his legs around. I am going to look into swim lessons for sure next year. The pool is now so much more fun for me too. I love seeing the world through his eyes. I find myself getting excited about introducing new things to him. It is so much fun!
On a sadder note, bedtime is now really hard. Just when I got the nap thing down, bed time is a struggle. The pool is awsome for naps. He slept two hours after the pool. Love it! I don't know what his deal is but he is fighting it hard. I think I figured out that he is a little more hungry at night. Plus, we need to just put him to bed instead of rocking him to sleep. The whole transfer from rocker to crib wakes him up now and then it is just down hill from there. The last two nights I put him to bed screaming and he calmed down after about 5 minutes.
Here are some pictures from our day at the pool:
