For our anniversary (4Th) we decided to stay in Glenwood Springs for the night. It would be perfect since B likes the pool, he would love the hot springs. Everything was going great. We exchanged gifts when we woke up, I got flowers and a new laptop and Mike got a new watch. We packed up B and headed out. I forgot my swimsuit so we turned around and went back. Good thing we weren't too far out. On our way we stopped at the Silverthorne outlet shops and did a little shopping. We made it up to Glenwood Springs and checked into our room. I asked to be away from other guests because of B so we were the only ones on the 4Th floor. We ate dinner and went for a walk, the true challenge was about to take place.
On our walk, Mike wasn't paying attention where he was stepping and my yell was too late. He stepped on a Gardner snake. We both screamed and ran. He says he is now part of an elite group of snake bite survivors. When we got back to our room it was time to test out the pack and play for the first time. Let's just say B was up every two hours screaming and it took another 45 minutes to get him down. I finally put him in the bathroom and we all were able to sleep for 4 hours straight. It brought me back to the newborn times. Yikes, not ready for that any time too soon.
All and all we had a good time. He did like the hot springs. He used his turtle floaty for the first time and loved relaxing in it. Next hotel trip B will be at the sitters though.
